Divorce can greatly affect and drastically change the life of anyone involved in it. Especially in situations where children are involved, divorce becomes more painful. Though considering that people may take it differently, the bottom line is that divorce can change things in one way or the other. Divorce is something that is complicated, stressful and extremely painful, and people would never want to be in such situation unless they have their valid reasons. And the following are some of the most common reasons why a marriage has to come to its end.
Infidelity
Another common term for this is extra-marital affair and this is one of the major causes of divorce. In this modern society, people are given more venues to be more acquainted with other people. Interaction in the workplace has also increased. In addition, gymasiums, clubs, etc. provide people with greater chances to interact with others. This modern day is an age for new technology and this includes internet chatting and cellphones. These things affect the time that one has to spend with his/her spouse which shakes the marriage and eventually results to divorce.
Physical Abuse
The modern day lifestyle of people is full of demands and pressures. The pressure of having a good lifestyle can stem from the workplace or from peers. This leads individuals to live a highly stressful lifestyle. The accumulated stress automatically looks for avenues to be poured out. The sad thing is, one of the easiest avenue is the spouse. Therefore, small arguments lead to big fights which results to applying violence. A long term physical abuse can be one of the major factors in divorce.
Emotional Abuse
This one is distinct from the physical abuse. However, this also has a lot of consequences. The damage of emotional abuse is not visible on the outer surface but it can leave deep scars on the person's personality. Emotional abuse takes place as a result of jealousy or because of a disgruntled personality. Regardless of the cause, emotional abuse can be traumatic. This is another significant factor in broken marriages.

Money plays a significant role in this fast-paced way of living. When people mingle with others, individual status is determined by material wealth. An increase finances can create unavoidable stress between married people which may lead to divorce.
Incompatible Personalities
There are times that there is actually nothing wrong with the marriage. The couple are honest and good people which leads them to have a good relationship. However, some differences can destroy it. Incompatibility between a husband and a wife turns out to be an ever-increasing reason for divorce.
